Wooden doors are subject to insurance related locks. BS3621 (the insurance minimum requirement) are fitted as standard in new installations. Upgrades from 3 or 5 lever non BS3621 are undertaken to ensure compliance with standard insurance requirements. Frames can be strengthened and repaired and glass in single glazed windows can be changed or upgraded.
We replace misted glass, removing the original glass and disposing of the glass responsibly. I also change clear units to privacy glazing and vice versa. DLC also change plate glass to safety glass. This can be laminated for increased safety and security.
DLC can upgrade all upvc mechanics. From friction hinges, to multipoint locking systems. Handle sets are replaced, not usually repaired.
Installation or repair of access control systems – from basic mechanical devices to complicated devises that allow levels of entry from management to other staff and then can restrict any further attempts at entry.
DLC work with landlords and letting agencies, securing properties, changing all forms of locking systems. Boarding is commonplace and standard boarding or ‘sandwich’ boarding is carried out if required. Landlords also request property maintenance.
As an off shoot to the locksmith and double glazing repair side, DLC carry out requests to sort various problems out that they find hard to get sorted due to tradesmen not wanting small annoying jobs. Just ask and if we can’t help personally, I have a variety of tradesmen willing to help us.
